WLV Overview

Wisdom Love and Vision Inc. (WLV Inc.), is the home of all Vaughn Family enterprises and projects. WLV Inc. controls or owns entertainment companies, music groups, publishing companies, marketing entities, and educational products.

The Vaughn Family has worked in entertainment and education for many years. Wayne and Wanda Vaughn, co-founders of the company, have contributed to some of music’s most memorable hits. Wayne, writer and producer of Earth Wind and Fire’s Let’s Grove Tonight; and Wanda, lead singer of Grammy Award winning sister trio The Emotions, started the family’s involvement in the arts over 40 years ago. Their offspring-Wendi, Wyann, Witny, and Waren Vaughn, have followed in their parents footsteps as performing artists, writers, and producers. The Vaughn Family has spent many years dedicated to entertainment; however, it isn’t their only passion. Using entertainment to educate, or “edutain”, is another mission near and dear to the family’s heart. The Vaughns use their gifts to reach those in need and bring a positive message to their community. In 2011, the family established a non-profit arm called The Be Liberated Foundation (BLF) to formally address the educational needs of individuals. Combining their expertise in entertainment and education also gave way to the start of a marketing division called Purple Gem Marketing. In the 80s, Wayne and Wanda produced commercial jingles for products such as 7-Up. More recently, the Wayne produced music for a Japanese Haagen-Daz TV ad that aired for several weeks. Currently, the company is spearheading a campaign to raise awareness for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. The Cure Crohn’s and Colitis Campaign includes the development of literature targeted for young people of color, as well as the production of an anthem entitled Just Believe.
